How to Change Notification Sound on Android?

Android devices offer a plethora of options for personalization and among all the customizable features, one is the sound notification that allows users to set a unique audio alert for different types of notifications. How to Change the Notification Sound on Android?

To change the notifications sound on Android devices, follow the below-given steps.

Step 1: Open Settings on an Android phone and find the “Sounds & vibration” option. Its position varies depending on the Android version you are using.

Step 2: Once you locate sounds or sounds & vibrations, and open it you will see an option for “Default Notification Sound”.

Step 3: In the Default notification sound, you will see a list of pre-installed notification sounds. To preview these sounds, tap on any sound. Once you find the desired notification sound, select it by tapping on it. This will set it as the default notification sounds for all incoming notifications from apps.

Step 4: If you want a custom notification sound, you can add your audio file to the list. Select the “Add” or “Plus” icon to browse your device’s storage and find the audio file to use as a notification sound, once you select it, it will be added to your list of sounds.
